You know that moment in your business when you feel like you really have things together?
It’s that day when you’re on point with your schedule, you’re creating something you’re excited about and you’re ready to take on the WORLD! In other words, you are on FIRE!
It’s also right around that time that life will throw you a curveball, just for the fun of it. It’s that gentle way of letting you know that all the planning in the world doesn’t matter… it’s how you handle the unplanned that matters.
I was hanging out on Periscope last night (if we are not connected there yet, let’s fix that by clicking HERE) talking about this very topic to see how others deal with the moments in their business when things don’t go as planned.
Crashed webinars in the middle of a launch.
Tripping on stage and having .05 seconds to get it together.
Frozen live streams with your biggest audience ever.
E-mails to the wrong people.
E-mails to the right people with the wrong subject line.
Realizing the automation for your opt-in wasn’t on… three days later.
Standing in front of a room of 200 on stage with 10 minutes left for 40 minutes of content.
These are just some of mine within the past four years. I still cringe at when I think about some and others I laugh at but at the time… the reaction was the same.
“You were made to be real, not perfect… shake it off and keep going.”
There is no such thing as perfection in life so why should business be any different? Learning to roll with the punches is a part of being an entrepreneur and to be honest, it’s what makes you a successful one as well.
Most will quit when things get tough. They will say things like “it just didn’t work for me” or “maybe I’ll try again when the time is right.” They will make excuses as to why they didn’t reach a certain goal instead of admitting that they were their biggest roadblock. They will then let their dream fade because reality didn’t match the plan for perfection.
But not you.
You’re in this for the long haul because you have a vision for your life that is bigger than any bump in the road. You started your online business for a life of freedom and purpose and because of that, you’re not going to stop until you get it. You are jumping in the ring every single day and ready to take whatever punch comes along the way because you know that your hand will be raised as the victor in the end.
You, my amazing and gorgeous fellow #daydreamachiever, have what it takes to succeed.
